Equestrian Partner Events - Agenda
The purpose of our meeting is to further the regional conversation and to develop stronger networks amongst equestrians in order to further our mission of conserving land for horses and horse-related activity.
Our meeting agenda is:
- Welcome and introductions
- The national view from ELCR CEO, Deb Balliet and Treasurer Larry Byers
- Information from Dacre Stoker of the Aiken Land Trust about the nuts and bolts of conserving horse lands
- Information from Reed Edwards of the Pendleton Area Saddle Club about Aiken’s equestrian-friendly municipal structure
- Participant concerns, issues, and successes
- Planning for the future—a discussion of the future resource needs for equestrian land conservationists
Invitees include ELCR Equestrian Partners and representatives from land conservation, and agriculture, wildlife, and recreation agencies from throughout the region. Our goal in bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders is to help build relationships and find common goals around which we can collaborate and further our shared agendas.
