Our new zoning guideline manual provides an understandable description of what zoning is, how it’s done, what the individual components of zoning ordinances and code are, and how zoning is used to define (or limit) horsekeeping within the context of agriculture, community and urban/rural planning and development. Examples of zoning practices in selected communities are given to help the reader understand how zoning effects the equine industry, the perception of equine activities by the community and the use of equine land, trails and facilities.
